The No Entry sign is facing the westbound A71 traffic but is meant to protect vehicles using the right turn lane towards Edinburgh from the B7031 south arm.

This arrangement has already been amended to kerbside parking with a cycle lane outside the bays. Whoever thought shoehorning cycles inside parked cars has clearly never been on a bike.
