Fast car to Ardgour on the Thursday evening, making the final ferry from Nether Lochaber by a comfortable margin. Friday morning over and back from Ardgour with Maid of Glencoul relieving for Corran, then drive to Lochaline, thence Fishnish with Loch Fyne - the only vessel on her normal duty the whole trip, with the exception of Raasay which is the regular winter vessel on the Kilchoan run, Loch Linnhe being the summer stalwart. Another drive to Tobermory for the second of three foot passenger moves of the day to Kilchoan with Raasay, which is the winter subbie for Loch Linnhe. A bit of a slog round to Ffionphort for Loch Riddon subbing for Loch Buie, then drive back to Craignure for Isle of Arran vice Isle of Mull back to Oban. Caledonian Hotel (mainly as I wanted the 0800 Lismore and it was closest, with a visit to the Oban Bay Brewery posh nosh joint before bed. it was a quiet night - the Inn at Ardgour took a dent in the malt supply the previous evening. Eigg relieving Loch Striven on the Saturday morning was the final spin, thence home via Falkirk for the always excellent model rail exhibition, with a quick visit to Fouldubs for 68008 on the Aberdeen boxes.
